About Roma

Take a walk along the Adungadoo Walkway

There is no better way to start or finish your day than by a walk along the ‘Adungadoo Pathway’. A leisurely two block walk from our Motor Inn brings you to the start of this natural bushland walk, which follows the Bungil creek through ancient river gums.  Early morning and late afternoon are the best times to enjoy this very peaceful, tranquil oasis, which the majority of people don’t even know exists.

Walk along Heroes Avenue which starts near our doorstep and meanders through our historical town. This walk follows 140 of our iconic bottle trees, which were planted as a touching tribute to the fallen soldiers from the Roma district who lost their lives in the 1st World War. Each tree has a brass remembrance plaque at its base naming the fallen soldier.
